Additional Services Leave Credit Automation
As you are probably aware, Additional Services can only be charged to residents who “make use of or benefit from” the services (refer to https://www.myagedcare.gov.au/aged-care-home-costs-and-fees). Therefore, residents must be credited for any Additional Services fees charged whilst on leave.

The benefits of this automated process are:
- Staff are relieved of monitoring leave and making adjustments to client billing (this can be very time consuming, especially if leave records are amended).
- The potential for underbilling and overbilling in relation to Additional Services credits is reduced to zero.
- The potential for missing or overlooking leave credits is reduced to zero.
- Residents and families are correctly billed with credits for leave being clearly displayed on Client Statements, reducing billing disputes and providing trust and faith in statements and the billing process.
