20/20 Financial Reporting - Product Overview
20/20 Excel Publisher is a powerful tool that allows you to design reports in Microsoft Excel and publish them to the 20/20 report portal. 20/20 Excel Publisher is an add-in to Microsoft Excel and is accessed from within Excel.
The report creation wizard, allows users to create reports quickly from templates and then make any necessary amendments in Excel, before publishing to the 20/20 report portal.
Once a report is published it can be accessed via any modern web browser (e.g. Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome). Once the report is published, users will have access to the following features:
- Access to the report via the 20/20 Desktop Explorer (using a modern web browser).
- Access to the report via a simple URL (this can be emailed to users).
- Report Security / Permissions, ensuring that only relevant users have access to the report.
- 20/20 Dropdown Filter Lists, allowing the report to be re-run or calculated using different parameters (e.g. Company, Business Unit, Year, Period, etc…). These Dropdown Filter Lists can be subject to group permissions, meaning the same report can be used by more than 1 group of users, each group only having access to the information (e.g. Business Units) that is relevant to them.
- Hierarchy Account Segment features, allowing users to build a Hierarchy on an account segment (e.g. Business Unit), and expose that hierachy in reports using a Dropdown Filter list.
- View linking / drilldown functionality, allowing you to right click on a number and see the detailed make up that number by linking to a Trial Balance, or General Ledger. The 20/20 linking capability allows users to drill right down to an image of the suppliers invoice.
- Access to a server based excel calculation engine. Excel is not required on the server where 20/20 is hosted, instead reports are calculated by a highly optimised and scalable calculation engine. This engine currently support 398 Excel functions.
- Excel export functionality, allowing users to export reports to Excel. Like the native 20/20 export functionality the reports are already nicely formatted in Excel. Normal users only get data, whereas Excel Publishers have the option to export to excel with the original excel formulas.
- Collaborative features such as the ability to store comments at data intersections and create & retrieve comments in reports.
- Budgeting & Forecasting, using formulas that allow users to store budget and forecast information.
